"Dugnad" in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
Integration of residents and improvement of neighbourly relations as foundations of local development.
31.12.2023 - A 'quiet' before taste of New Year's Eve
An unconventional end-of-year party at the Day Care Centre No. 5. Seniors went wild on the dance floor to the rhythm of the biggest hits, although there was complete silence in the room. "Silent Disco" was held as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
Silent disco is an event where all participants are given wireless headphones from which they can listen to one of three different music channels. The soundtrack can be changed at any time and the volume adjusted. The original party formula appealed to the seniors and was an excellent idea for an attractive team-building event.
29.12.2023 - Teachers feeling the heat
Eco-teachers are now ready to teach. As part of a free training series, teachers and librarians from our town received tips and advice on how to make lessons on environmental protection effective and interesting. They gained new knowledge thanks to the 'Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle' project.
The inspiring workshop was organised by the Municipal Public Library. Participants of the 'Environmental Education Trainers' course will now have the opportunity to inspire children and adults to act in a more environmentally friendly way.
22.12.2023 - Hundreds of meanings - one idea
The Norwegian word "Dugnad" has become firmly established in the vocabulary of the locals. However, it has a different meaning for everyone. It has become a synonym for local community and good neighbourly relations. It is also associated with important social investments, the opportunity to develop one's own passions, discover talents and learn new skills.
You can find out about all these initiatives on a dedicated website: www.dugnad.kedzierzynkozle.pl. Summaries of completed projects have also appeared in the local press.

19.12.2023 - A quiet dance party
There has never been such an event for senior citizens in our town. It will be a dance they will remember for a long time to come. Couples will be rocking out on the dance floor with headphones on. The "Silent Disco" will take place at the Day Care Centre No. 5 as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The dance evening will take place on 28 December. In addition to good music, the programme will also include contests and refreshments. For organisational reasons, the number of places is limited. 11.12.2023 - "Dugnad" discovers new talents
The homes of senior citizens will be decorated with extremely fashionable and original decorations. Most importantly, they made them with their own hands during a creative workshop organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The charges of Day Care Centre No. 3 learnt the macramé technique. Instead of the traditional crochet hook, skilful fingers proved to be the ideal technique for creating string garlands. Participants from Day Care Centre 1, meanwhile, learned the secrets of using special resin. In this way, unusual decorations were created, which not only look beautiful, but also have a utilitarian function.
06.12.2023 - Big-hearted people appreciated
They usually stand on the sidelines providing selfless help. This time it was they who shone in the spotlight. During the first edition of the "Volunteering Gala", individuals and associations were honoured for their daily dedication to others. Congratulations flowed not only to the awarded, but also to everyone involved in this noble pursuit.
The competition was organised by the Centre for Non-Governmental Organisations and Volunteering operating at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre, which was set up as part of the 'Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle' project. The aim of the project was to recognise the most active organisations in the city. After heated deliberations, the jury selected the winners for the title of "Volunteer of the Year" in four categories.
The gala, held at the Solidaris Hotel, was accompanied with performances by local artists. Dancers from the "Funky Kids" group performed on stage, while Sara Derejczyk, playing the violin, and Damian "Struna" Surow, in a duet with Agata Seidel.
04.12.2023 - Teacher in the role of a student
The directors of the city's schools and kindergartens and the staff of the Department of Education and Upbringing improved their competences at a special training course. They acquired new knowledge thanks to the classes held as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The workshop covered changes in educational law and education, including issues such as school and kindergarten statutes and employment law in education. The training was aimed at preparing managers in a practical way for the newly introduced regulations.
30.11.2023 – Preparations for the "Dugnad" summary
The number of events organised is impressive. However, the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, which is firmly rooted in our town, is coming to an end. Activities co-financed by the so-called "Norway Grants" will continue until the middle of next year.
Although further workshops, integration meetings or a scientific seminar are still planned, and the former building of Public Primary School No. 6 is still a construction site, the project organisers and partners are summing up the initiatives so far. The reports, discussed at a regular meeting chaired by Vice-President Artur Maruszczak, will be sent to the relevant ministries and donor countries.
29.11.2023 - Seniors ripped up the dance floor until dawn
Dancing, performances and competitions. Among other things, these were the attractions prepared by the organisers of this year's St Andrew's party for senior citizens. The sounds of music and a dance floor in the Kłodnica Community Centre resounded until late in the evening. The magical and fortune-telling atmosphere was taken care of as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
A hot meal, snacks and a coffee buffet awaited the participants. Musical accompaniment and numerous attractions were provided by the "Orian Show" band. The Municipal Senior Citizens' Centre at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre was behind the preparation of the event for 60+ residents.
16.11.2023 - Local heroes wanted
On a daily basis, they selflessly give up their time for another human being. It is time to do something just for them. The contest for "Volunteer of the Year 2023" has been launched. Candidates for this honourable title in four categories can now be submitted.
The plebiscite is hosted by the Centre for Non-Governmental Organisations and Volunteers operating at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. The chapter will award honourable mentions to the most active and involved people in volunteering at the individual, school, senior and team levels.
Applications are accepted until 28 November 2023. This can be done electronically as well as by traditional mail. The rules and regulations, application form and all necessary details are available at: https://copiw-kkozle.pl/aktualnosci/konkurs-na-wolontariusza-roku-2023.
The winners of the competition will be selected at the Volunteer Gala which will take place on 5 December 2023.
15.11.2023 - The "Dugnad" handyman
A leaky tap, an unclosable cupboard, a faulty radiator. For some senior citizens, even minor malfunctions are a major inconvenience. In Kędzierzyn-Koźle, a professional can help in such situations free of charge. This is another initiative under the Dugnad project.
The main objective of the project is to increase the safety and living comfort of the residents 65+ by carrying out minor repair work in their flats, such as repainting walls or repairing damaged elements. The extent of the repairs will be determined individually for each beneficiary.
Those in need of such support will be identified by NGOs. The Municipal Social Assistance Centre encourages all associations and foundations to submit the relevant forms. Details are given in the regulations. Written applications are accepted until 28 November 2023 at the MOPS headquarters located at Reja 2A, room 214 until 3 p.m. Additional information can be obtained by calling: 77/482-32-73.
06.11.2023 - Fortune-telling with "Dugnad"
It's time to remember how to read fortune. Seniors in our town can already plan "Andrzejki". Registration for the evening full of magic has started. The shared fun and integration will take place thanks to the 'Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle' project.
Wax will be poured in full streams on 29 November at the Kłodnica Community Centre. Admission to the event is free, but reservations must be taken care of in advance. Those wishing to attend should register at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. For details, call 77 483 78 79, extension 408. 30.10.2023 – Debriefing on "Dugnad"
Another meeting on the implementation of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project was held under the chairmanship of Vice-President Artur Maruszczak. The meeting was attended by representatives of the institutions most involved in its implementation.
Managers of city hall departments as well as directors and employees of city institutions such as MOSiR, MOPS and the library submitted their reports. During the monthly meeting, progress on the redevelopment of the former building of PSP No. 6 was summarised as well as activities aimed at integrating residents. Social bonds have been strengthening for several months now through the continuous organisation of free training courses, workshops, excursions and sports competitions.
13.10.2023 - Grandmothers and grandchildren in one workshop
"Dugnad" continues to develop our creativity. Another series of workshops organised at the Day Care Centres in Kędzierzyn-Koźle is behind us. The newly created workshops are not only used by senior citizens, but also by kindergarten children and school children participating in joint activities.
In recent weeks alone, activities have included ceramics, paper drawing, stained-glass making and hortiterapy, a method using gardens and flowers in work with patients. The greatest value of these meetings is the mutual intergenerational integration.
09.10.2023 - Study trips for knowledge and experience
Volunteers and members of NGOs as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project have set off across Poland. Fascinating trips to the town of Bardo and the "Silver Mountain" fortress are behind them. In addition to the tourist attractions, the trips were also an opportunity for mutual integration and workshops.
Many attractions awaited the participants, which were preceded by panel discussions on the impact of grassroots initiatives on the local community. After a solid dose of knowledge, they were able to see in practice how organisations similar to theirs operate in other corners of the country. Participation in the events was free of charge.
06.10.2023 - Travelling around Poland with "Dugnad"
These trips will stay in the seniors' memories for a long time. As part of the "Dugnad" project, senior citizens from Kędzierzyn-Koźle visited charming parts of our country. During trips to Kudowa Zdrój, Kłodzko and the Ojców Park, they not only explored together, but also had the opportunity to get to know each other better and integrate.
The free trips were organised by the Municipal Senior Citizens' Centre operating at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. The initiators provided transport, insurance, lunch and a tour guide, but also beautiful memories and exciting impressions. In Kudowa-Zdrój, participants could take a walk in the spa park or visit the Skull Chapel. In Kłodzko, on the other hand, they not only visited the old town, but also explored a gold mine. Meanwhile, the Ojców Park offered incredible views and close encounters with the wonders of nature.
05.10.2023 - Rehabilitation therapists on 'Dugnad' staff
There is nothing more precious than health. The elderly of Kędzierzyn-Koźle take care of their physical condition under the guidance of specialists. Residents 60+ benefit from free consultations with physiotherapists thanks to the "Dugnad" project.
Seniors from the "Piasty", "Śródmieście" and "Blachownia" circles took part in practical lectures with experts. The first group met with a physiotherapist who explained the importance of morning gymnastics and daily activity. The second learned a lot about foot diagnostics. Participants had the opportunity to examine themselves on a podoscope and learn how to properly select a shoe insole.
04.10.2023 - "Dugnad" will take care of your health
Residents of Kędzierzyn-Koźle can benefit from another set of free prophylactic examinations. Visits to a specialist are possible thanks to the "Dugnad" project. The opportunity has come up to diagnose osteoporosis, tuberculosis and lung diseases. A rehabilitation programme is also available.

03.10.2023 - With the winged residents of Kędzierzyn-Koźle in mind
What are the names of the winged friends that fly over our heads every day? This is what the participants of the workshop "Jestem na pTak" could find out. Children and senior citizens not only learnt which species live in our city, but also built nest boxes for them.
The free classes at the Municipal Public Library were organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The meeting was hosted by representatives of the 'Los Polacos' Foundation. This was the last lecture prepared as part of the 'Ecology connects generations' series.
30.09.2023 - Long-distance kayaking
Wet from the bottom and wet from the top. However, the falling rain did not extinguish the enthusiasm or wash the smiles from the faces of the participants in the "Long Distance Canoe Race". The competition on the Odra River was organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
More than a hundred young athletes joined the competition, racing over distances from 500 metres to 5 kilometres. Competitors from 7 clubs from all over Poland registered at the "Szkwał" marina. Apart from crews from our city, one could also cheer on teams from, among others, Opole, Wrocław or Katowice.
29.09.2023 - "Dugnad" still on the agenda
The implementation of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project has already passed the halfway mark, but efforts to make the most of the last few months are continuing.
Another coordinating meeting, attended by representatives of the units involved in the implementation of the project, has taken place. The meeting summarised the tasks already completed and discussed the schedule for the upcoming ones.
28.09.2023 - ZAKSA players at an inclusive sports event
"Dugnad" successfully instils the spirit of sport in the young generation. This is the fourth time that an inclusive athletics meeting has been organised as part of a project co-financed by the so-called "Norwegian" funds. The event proves that activity is for everyone: healthy people as well as those with special needs.
Special guests at the last event in the series were players from Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle: setter Przemysław Stępień and Norwegian-born middle hitter Andreas Takvam. The finale of the event was a grand relay of more than 250 participants, who together covered a distance of 500 metres. Among the participants were children and students from several kindergartens and schools in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, as well as charges from the "Promyczek" Community Self-Help Centre. A commemorative medal prepared by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre awaited each participant at the finish line.
27.09.2023 - It's happening in the former PSP No. 6
There is almost nothing left of the previous classrooms. The building of the old primary school in Stalmacha Street is changing practically from day to day. Another construction meeting is behind us, bringing the project one step closer to completion.
Work is in full swing both inside and outside the building. The contractor is reinforcing the foundations, repositioning walls and dismantling radiators. In the coming weeks and months, the next phase of work will begin to adapt the old school building for its new role as the Dugnad Co-operation Centre, which will house the Community Senior Centre and the NGO and Volunteer Centre in addition to the assisted housing facilities.
22.09.2023 - Seniors in the sky
They really did it! 10 seniors from our town went skydiving. The doyens rocked in the clouds, assisted by 10 students from the Powstańców Śląskich School Complex No. 1 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The project "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" provided intergenerational "integration in the sky" and the realisation of the dream of flying from 4,000 metres.
This amazing experience for all participants was organised by the Municipal Social Centre and the Day Care Centre "Magnolia" No. 2.
21.09.2023 - Seniors sailed on the Mała Panew River
It was an unforgettable trip that not even the capricious weather managed to spoil. The Municipal Senior Citizens' Centre organised an exciting and active day out for residents 60+ as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The main attraction of the trip was, of course, canoeing on the Mała Panew River, but there were other surprises too. After hours on the water, the participants took part in a bonfire with traditional sausages, guitar playing and singing together.
15.09.2023 - Senior citizens held a family picnic
Residents 60+ took over the Kędzierzyn-Koźle Island, inviting whole families to play together. This was the high point of the Senior Citizens' Days celebrations in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
The programme included artistic performances, competitions, concerts, games, animations, a selfie wall and a "Mambomania" dance evening. The integration picnic at the "Szkwał" marina also took place as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
14.09.2023 - With walking sticks straight to the feast
Sport is the best recipe for health. Our senior citizens do not shy away from physical activity, so they grabbed their walking sticks. As part of the Senior Citizens' Days, a Nordic walking march took place. The participants recovered all their exercise during a common feast.
A bonfire with sausages was the perfect crowning touch to an eventful Thursday. While having fun and integrating, there was no shortage of singing and good music. The attractions prepared as part of this year's "Senior Citizens' Day" celebrations were organised with the support of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
13.09.2023 - Family cinema under an open sky
Grandmothers and grandfathers invited their grandchildren to the cinema on the occasion of their holiday. And an unusual one at that, because it was held under an open sky. As part of the "Senior Citizens' Day" celebrations, a screening of a family film took place in the amphitheatre at the Piastów-Powstańców Śląskich residential estate.
The screening was intended for entire families. The film entitled. " Free Poly" was screened. It is the story of an unusual friendship between a ten-year-old girl and a circus pony, which turns out to be the beginning of a fascinating adventure for both of them.
The attractions prepared as part of this year's "Senior Citizens' Day" celebrations were organised with the support of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
13.09.2023 - A year of creative workshops with "Dugnad"
It was a year of intensive meetings. The workshops organised by the Municipal Community Centre as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project have come to an end. The last classes for the youngest and for those who wanted to discover their passion for ceramics are behind us. As always, it was fun, colourful and creative.
As part of the project, 12 open sessions were held for children aged 3-7. The sensory activities took a variety of interesting forms. Paints, waste paper, sand, earth, commodities and many other products were used in creative play. For slightly older children, 100 hours of ceramics classes were offered. Participants created their own ornaments and everyday objects while learning new skills. Glazing was probably the most fun.
The added value of the workshops, apart from the sheer integration of the participants, was that children with disabilities and special needs took part. All activities were very popular and free of charge.
12.09.2023 - Keys to the city gates in the hands of seniors
Senior citizens have taken over the governance of Kędzierzyn-Koźle and will be celebrating their holiday for a few days. The Mayor, Sabina Nowosielska, symbolically handed over the town to the elderly. The celebrations in our city were opened with a ceremonial session.
The keys to the city gates were handed over to Mrs Krystyna Galara and her husband, who is a shining example of the activity of the silver group of residents. The 96-year-old is probably the oldest ice swimmer in Poland.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various circles, from the City Council of Senior Citizens to universities of the third age and pensioners' associations. Cordial greetings and congratulations to the representatives of the 60+ residents were offered by the President Sabina Nowosielska, together with the head of the City Council Ireneusz Wiśniewski and the chairwoman of the social affairs committee Ewa Odulińska, the district chief Paweł Masełko, deputy Marshal Szymon Ogłaza, assembly councillor Brygida Kolenda-Łabuś, the director of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre Agata Morkis and other guests.
The atmosphere during the ceremonial session of the Municipal Council of Senior Citizens was created by the "Rose Decoratory" florist, who decorated the meeting room free of charge. In the corridors of the magistrate's office, in turn, an exhibition of works made by senior citizens in handicraft workshops created as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project was displayed. The participants also had the pleasure of listening to a lecture entitled 'The place of seniors in our city over the centuries', given by Tomasz Rogus, a member of the board of the Kozle Land Society.
12.09.2023 - What does the forest give us?
Mushrooms, fruit, blackberries... these are the "gifts of the forest" that first come to mind. Are there others? The youngest children were able to find out at a workshop organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. A representative of the Forestry Department answered the kids' questions.
The lecture in the Municipal Library was a combination of a lecture and art activities, which the young participants particularly enjoyed. They also learned about the dangers we face in the forest and, more importantly, how we endanger the forest and its inhabitants.
A sign language interpreter took part in the event.
11.09.2023 - This week belongs to seniors
The Senior Citizens' Days are a fixed date in the calendar of Kędzierzyn-Koźle. This year's programme is very extensive thanks to the "Dugnad" project. See how the town's doyens will surprise us.
As usual, the festivities will be opened by a meeting of the Senior Citizens' Town Council, which will symbolically receive the keys to the gates of Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The next three days will be full of cultural and sports events. There will be music, dancing, film screenings and one day dedicated to physical activities, which are a recipe for health. All events are free of charge. See the poster for details.
08.09.2023 - Gifts from the forest in the library
Another lecture as part of the "Dugnad" project will be held in the main building of the Municipal Library. A representative of the Kędzierzyn Forestry Department will talk about the treasures of the forest.
The lecture, which is part of the "Ecology connects generations" series, will take place on 11 September at 10.30 a.m. in the institution's premises on the Main Square. Everyone is invited, which is the basic idea behind the integration initiatives organised with the support of the so-called 'Norwegian Funds'.
For organisational reasons, however, registration is mandatory. The number of spots is limited.
06.09.2023 - More trips for our seniors
After an exciting tour to Wroclaw, the Municipal Centre for Senior Citizens is already planning more one-day excursions as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The route will include Kudowa Zdrój, Ziemia Kłodzka and Ojcowski Park.

05.09.2023 - Seniors from Kędzierzyn-Koźle conquered Wroclaw
A group of 50 senior citizens from our town made a fascinating trip to the capital of Lower Silesia. The residents, aged over 60, had the opportunity to discover the secrets of Wroclaw and see its most beautiful sites and monuments, completely free of charge. The excursion was part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.

During the one-day tour, the senior citizens, accompanied by a guide, visited Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island), the buildings of the University of Wroclaw and the Old Town with its most precious jewel, the Town Hall. After the exciting sights of the city centre, it was time to relax and socialise while strolling through the charming alleys of the Japanese Garden.
Further trips to equally charming destinations in Poland are planned.
31.08.2023 - Seniors, grab your oars
The capricious weather has thrown the calendar a bit out of whack, but has not managed to derail all the plans. An inclusive kayaking trip for seniors will be organised at another date. A free trip on the Mała Panew River as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project will take place on 19 September. Some spots are still available.
The free offer is aimed at residents over the age of 60 who would like to experience a water adventure. In addition to kayaking, the experience includes a bonfire and a meal together. 29.08.2023 - "Dugnad" richer by over a million zlotys
The budget of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project will increase by more than one million zlotys. The final briefing on activities and initiatives co-financed from the so-called 'Norwegian funds' began with this good news. Additional funds will come from donor countries and the state budget.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Presidents Artur Maruszczak and Wojciech Jagiełło and was attended by the partners involved in the project. Much time was devoted to investment tasks. The recently completed modernisation of the Community Centre in Chemik was summarised, as a result of which the building has been adapted to the requirements of people with special needs. Work on the redevelopment of the former building of Primary School No. 6 in Stalmacha Street also gained momentum. The construction schedule was presented at the meeting.
Other activities carried out as part of the project, including workshops, cultural and sports events, were also discussed in detail. Thousands of residents have already benefited from the free initiatives. Among the most recent highlights were inclusive cruises on the Odra River combined with lectures on local biodiversity. More than 500 people took up the invitation from the city library. A similar number of residents enjoyed the second edition of Night Skating, an evening roller skating tour through the main streets of the city centre organised by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre. The Municipal Social Welfare Centre, on the other hand, reminds us that free specialist advice is always available for senior citizens and NGOs. Among others, a lawyer and an accountant are available.
28.08.2023 - "Dugnad on air
"Dugnad" in a nutshell on Radio Park. Beata Pierzchlewicz was the radio station's guest. The head of the Town Hall's Department for Strategy, Development and Aid Funds reported on the progress made so far in the implementation of the project, in which the local government is using so-called "Norwegian" funds.
An important piece of information concerns the amount, as the budget of the project will be increased by one million zlotys. Other activities, such as health support, will be implemented soon. In the meantime, you can listen to how the Dugnad has affected the lives of the residents of Kędzierzyn-Koźle in recent months.
You can listen to the whole conversation at: https://radiopark.fm/rozmowa-dnia-radia-park--beata-pierzchlewicz---25-08-2023,49,22439.html.
26.08.2023 - Skating in the moonlight
Night Skating quickly gained popularity in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The next edition of the event was as popular as the previous one.
Several hundred participants had the opportunity to skate along the main streets of the city, to the rhythm of energetic music coming from the truck leading the colourful peloton. The event was organised by the Municipal Sport and Recreation Centre in Kędzierzyn-Koźle as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
26.08.2023 - A quick lesson before the evening ride
Everyone had the chance to polish their skills before the night skating under the expert guidance of an instructor from the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre.
In the morning, workshops were held at the Kędzierzyn skate park, where those who wanted to could warm up and prepare for the Night Skating. Both events were organised as part of the Dugnad project.
25.08.2023 - The MBP series has docked
This is the end of the "With the Odra Current" nature cruises organised by the Municipal Library as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. During 10 trips, the participants had the opportunity to discover the beauty of the riverbank nature.
The sound of the water, the trip on a cruise ship and the picturesque views attracted hundreds of people who eagerly took part in the " sailing " adventures with the MBP. Thanks to the lectures given by the Opole Nature Society, it was possible to learn a lot of interesting information about the river ecosystem and its surroundings. It was a very educational and inspiring experience, which showed that it is worthwhile to pay attention to the beauty of nature and to protect it.
24.08.2023 - We are going with the "Dugnad"!
This Saturday (26/08) the "Dugnad" will roll into the city centre. We would like to invite you to two events aimed at roller skating fans, both young and old.
The previous two editions of the Night Skating event proved that the residents like the idea of skating through the streets of Kędzierzyn-Koźle at night. As usual, the skaters will be accompanied by music provided by Giorgio Sainz and David Hay. In preparation for the evening marathon, young sports enthusiasts can take part in skating workshops on Saturday morning at the skate park on Jana Pawła II Street.
21.08.2023 - "Chemik" open to all
The work to make the community centre 'Chemik' safer and more accessible for people with disabilities has been completed. A lot has changed in the building. The project was part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The most noticeable improvement is the lift, which makes access to the upper floors much easier. There is also a specially adapted bathroom and a so-called "tranquillity room". Solutions for the visually impaired have also been installed: special guide lines on the floor, signs in Braille and a tylograph plan of the building. The investment was personally 'approved' by the President of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Sabina Nowosielska.

Acceptance procedures have begun, which means that the investment is nearing completion. A lot has changed in the building. It will certainly be appreciated by people with special needs, as the facility has been modernised with them in mind. A major improvement is the installation of a lift, which provides easy access to the upper floor. There is also a specially adapted bathroom and a so-called "soundproof room". Visually impaired visitors are also catered to: special guide lines on the floor, signs with Braille inscriptions and a typhlomap of the building.

The project entitled. "Olympics. Social Entrepreneurs" was implemented as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. Dozens of students from primary and secondary schools took part in it. During a grand closing gala, the young people shared their experiences and talked about the activities of the past months.
Each group had a different idea for their activity. Projects included sports activities for kindergarteners and seniors, preparing a green relaxation area in the school, planting oxygen trees in the school grounds, a series of lectures on the need to hydrate the body and the role of water in the world, yoga classes for peers and helping seniors. There was even a musical piece written about the need to take care of the planet, and Professor Piotr Skubala accepted an invitation to attend one of the meetings. Thanks to the determination of the young people, community leaders, institutional partners and local businesses joined the projects, and one event was even sponsored by the local parish. The impact has been enormous. One example is the 'Blondes' team from the secondary school. The girls ran workshops on animal homelessness for 47 classes from six schools. Over 1,000 students listened to the talks.
Announcements and coverage of all events were posted on social media, reaching thousands more. The young social workers showed that nothing is impossible for them. 18.05.2023 - Renovating for the benefit of culture
In order to make the "Chemik" Community Centre an even more welcoming place for all its visitors, it is necessary to make a little "mess". As part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, the building is being adapted to meet the requirements of people with special needs. But cinema-goers can rest assured. The renovations will be carried out in such a way as not to disrupt the normal functioning of the facility.
The biggest change will be to the disabled restrooms. In addition to the toilet, there will be a lift for easy access to the upper floor. Facilities for the blind and partially sighted will also be installed: special lines on the floor and a tiffographic plan of the facility.
However, the separation of the new spaces will require significant building work: relocation of the ticket office, plumbing and widening of doorways. All of this work is being done under the watchful eye of the building committee. The recent meeting was attended by the site manager, the signage consultant, the designer, the superintendent and the construction manager, among others.
17.05.2023 - "Dugnad" is not slowing down
Another coordination meeting was held on the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The projects carried out so far were discussed, and a comprehensive plan for the upcoming months was established. After the 'soft' activities, it was time to implement the investment-related tasks.
During the meeting, the progress of the implementation of the programme financed by the "Norway" funds was discussed. The meeting was chaired by the vice president of the city, Artur Maruszczak, who recalled that the city had successfully received over PLN 16 million from the Dugnad programme. So far, initiatives to integrate residents have dominated. These have included training courses, meetings, workshops and activities of various kinds. In recent weeks, progress has also been made on the building front. Renovation work has begun on the community centre 'Chemik', which will make it accessible to people with disabilities. A tender is also underway for the redevelopment of the former PSP 6 premises for social purposes.
15.05.2023 - An artistic kingdom in Koźle
The Koźle community centre was transformed into a huge workshop. One room was a controlled chaos as part of sensory activities, and the other was an artistic mess during ceramics workshops. All this was part of the project "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle".
Another in a series of free meetings aimed at integrating local residents is over. This time, the younger participants focused on recycling. Colourful caterpillars were made from plastic bottle caps and egg shells, and creative decorations were crafted from cut corks. At the same time, beautiful clay pots were created a few metres away. Older students could try their hand at sculpting.
12.05.2023 - Letter to Mother Nature
What can you put on paper? Apart from thoughts and feelings, it turns out that you can also record a piece of nature! As part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, unusual activities took place. Seniors from the Day Care Centre No. 5 planted seeds in handmade paper.
First of all, the participants made ecological sheets that could be used for more than just writing. Seeds of various plants were embedded in them and then placed in pots with soil. All the participants are convinced that something amazing will sprout from these "letters to Mother Nature".
11.05.2023 - Rehabilitation without secrets
How to take care of yourself and your body after the age of 60? This is what our residents found out during a free lecture organised by the Municipal Senior Citizens' Centre together with the Association of the University of the Third Age. This was another part of the project "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle".
The lecture on rehabilitation was well attended. A physiotherapist answered all the questions. Among other things, Przemysław Cyris talked about correct posture, how to prevent headaches without medication and how to perform everyday activities correctly.
10.05.2023 - Integration at the potter's wheel
The main aim of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project is to integrate the local community. This time these goals were pursued at the potter's wheel. During the pottery workshop in the Day Care Centre No. 2, everyone had the opportunity to learn new skills or improve the ones they already had.
The classes organised at "Magnolia" are an excellent opportunity for participants to develop their manual and artistic skills. During the course, led by a ceramics specialist, the seniors had the opportunity to create beautiful and unique objects that will be valuable keepsakes for them.
09.05.2023 - Kędzierzyn-Koźle in the international debate
The "Dugnad" project, implemented in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, enables the strengthening of relations not only between residents, but also between nations. At the invitation of the Norwegian side, representatives of the municipality took part in an international conference in Kiristiansand.
This was the fourth time that the debate "Democracy and Human Rights" was held in the city. Representatives of Kędzierzyn-Koźle - together with representatives of other towns that won the competition organised as part of the Local Development Programme - listened to current reports on the challenges facing Western countries. This year's discussion focused mainly on the war crisis in Ukraine.
08.05.2023 - Forklift licence thanks to the Norwegians
Before they get behind the wheel, a bit of theory first. A group of 14 people started free training in forklift operating. The trainees are improving their professional qualifications as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The courses will enable them to obtain the highest category I WJO. This certificate allows them to operate various types of forklifts: loading, lifting, towing and special.
This is another of the free training programmes organised by the Kędzierzyn-Koźle Industrial Park. Previously, courses for excavator operators and welders were successfully completed. All classes end with exams confirming the qualifications obtained.
05.05.2023 - Morning exercises can work wonders
An active senior is a healthy senior. Doctors remind us that regular exercise helps to prevent age-related diseases. Residents over the age of 60 can find out more at a free lecture organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The open meeting with a rehabilitation specialist is organised by the Municipal Senior Citizens' Centre and the University of the Third Age. The free lecture by a physiotherapy expert will take place next Tuesday (09.05.) at 10:30 a.m. in the "Chemik" Community Centre.
26.04.2023 - Glass magnolias
In the Day Care Centre No. 2 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, colourful mosaics were created. This was the next stage of the stained glass workshop organised by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
Everyone who took part in the course at the "Magnolia" was given the task of designing and making their own stained glass panel from scratch. All materials were provided, and the instructor helped them at every stage of the process, introducing them to the arcana of glass processing. The next edition is already being planned.
25.04.2023 - 1000 degrees in the kiln, a smile on your lips
The ceramics workshops organised by the Municipal Community Centre are always well attended. No wonder - the atmosphere at each workshop is very hot. Between classes, the temperature can reach 1000 degrees. Literally!
For several months now, successive groups of children and adults have been creating small, functional ceramic objects during courses organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The participants' works go through several stages of creation before they are finished. After being moulded from clay, fired, painted, glazed and reheated, they become interesting souvenirs to take home.
Everyone is welcome to this and similar workshops, but please remember to register in advance to guarantee your spot. You can register by calling 77 480 25 57.
24.04.2023 - First aid has no secrets for them
More and more MOPS employees have been trained in first aid. Thanks to the training organised by the Centre for NGOs and Volunteers, they also learned how to use the defibrillators purchased as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. This knowledge can save lives.
It is worth mentioning that the centre has two AEDs. The devices, financed from "Norwegian funds", are located in the main office and in the area of the assisted living facility in the "Azoty" estate. Under the guidance of qualified firefighters from OSP Kłodnica and OSP ORW Koźle, the staff of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre learned not only when to use them, but also how to react in emergency situations.
21.04.2023 - This is how they made their own bedding...
After such a lesson, the seniors certainly rested well. The workshop at DDP No. 4 "Wrzos" gave the participants the knowledge and skills to make their own pillows.
Workshops for the participants of the "Dugnand in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project continue to evolve, helping them to learn new skills. This time the trainees learned how to make comfortable pillows with their own hands.
20.04.2023 - Polish, Norwegian, two nephews
Polish local government officials on a visit to Norway. Artur Maruszczak is also part of the delegation to Trondheim and Levanger. The vice president of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, together with the presidents of other cities, is observing how the Nordic metropolises function on a daily basis.
Leaders of municipalities that have received funding from the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 under the Local Development Programme have been invited to join the bilateral cooperation. Thanks to these funds, the interdisciplinary project "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" is being implemented in our town.
Artur Maruszczak had the opportunity to explain to listeners not only how this Scandinavian custom was introduced to the region, but also what tasks are being implemented with the so-called "Norway" funds. As part of the exchange of experiences and good practices, he also met with local government officials from Trondheim and Levanger and took part in discussion panels on the directions of contemporary urban development.
19.04.2023 – Passion tied into knots
An ancient handicraft technique is currently undergoing a renaissance. Macramé has become so popular that it was chosen as one of the topics for handicraft workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
At the workshop held in the Day Care Centre No. 3, the participants of the free courses learned the technique of decorative weaving. It is an art that can be used to make all kinds of decorations, as well as practical handmade objects for everyday use – bags, key rings, table mats or flowerbeds. The Municipal Social Welfare Centre encouraged people to create small masterpieces without using needles, wire or crochet hooks.
18.04.2023 - Don't give cancer a chance and vaccinate your daughter
"Mature choices can protect young lives from cervical cancer". - This is the slogan of a free HPV vaccination programme for girls in our city. It is already known that the first dose will be administered at the end of April and beginning of May.
The prophylactic campaign for 12- and 13-year-old girls is being carried out as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. It is directed towards girls who are registered as permanent or temporary residents in the municipality for more than 12 months. The preparation is carried out by the NOVA Clinic. Parents can still register their children.
Detailed information and the form can be found in the appendices and have also been sent via e-journals. The filled in form should be delivered to the school office or directly to the Nova Clinic office. If you have any questions, please call 733 344 112.

As part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, the renovation of the "Chemik" community centre has begun. Once completed, the building will be more accessible to people with disabilities. The work will start in the next few days and we will be able to see the results in a little more than three months.
The biggest change will be a bathroom adapted to the needs of handicapped residents. In addition to the toilet, there will be a lift for easy access to the upper floor of the building. Facilities for the blind and visually impaired will also be installed: special lines on the floor and a tiffographic plan of the building.
All the solutions introduced were agreed upon with the future users during the designing phase. Among other things, the visually impaired pointed out the way in which the building is labelled.

It was the third edition of the "Run to Welcome Spring" organised by the Koziołek Sports Club. During the race on the island of Kozel, participants were able to observe the signs of nature's awakening.
The sporting integration was organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. Over 200 people took part in the race, including the President of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Sabina Nowosielska. The main race was preceded by a competition for children and young people. Each participant received a commemorative "flower" medal.
14.04.2023 - And that's some "paperwork"!
Another paper-making workshop was held for the elderly residents of Day House no. 5. The handmade decorative pages already look like little works of art, and this is only the beginning of what can be done with them. Participants learned „secret art” in the framework of „Dugand in Kędzierzyn-Koźle” project.
The seniors of "Our House" enjoyed the first handmade card making workshop and did not have to wait long to continue. Workshop participants had the opportunity to hone their skills and bring new artistic concepts to life decorating herb planters with hand-made paper.
12.04.2023 - Accountant on the staff of "Dugnad"
NGOs in our city can count on free professional support. Associations and foundations already have a lawyer at their disposal, and now a qualified accountant will help them get their "paperwork in order". The free consultations are part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
Representatives of the "third sector" only need to make an appointment by telephone to receive the assistance of a "table" specialist. Applications are accepted at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre, tel. 77 483 78 79, ext. 408.
Individual consultations with NGOs and volunteers may include assistance in preparing accounting documentation, document templates, accounting policy, filling in personal and commercial tax forms, financial statements or advice on reporting obligations.
06.04.2023 - Clay Magnolias
Ceramic workshops in the Day Care Centre No. 2 have become a regular activity. Seniors supported by the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" programme had another opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of a specialist.
Classes are in full swing and it's not over yet. There is a special room where, apart from materials and tools for working with clay, there are also small finished works of art made by senior citizens from Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Colourful stained-glass windows are also created in the same place. Spots are still available for further meetings of this kind. Registration is obligatory.
05.04.2023 - Taking a closer look at nature
Schoolchildren and senior citizens took a close look at nature. They did so at a very interesting and innovative workshop in the Town Library. It was another ecological meeting within the project "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle".
Participants prepared research equipment for observing different bacteria - Winogradski's column. This created a version of a closed mini ecosystem, which they also studied using microscopes. At the end, everyone was able to take home their own handmade creation.
The joint activities were an opportunity for full integration. Younger and older generations were invited to participate, and the event itself was interpreted in sign language.
04.04.2023 - "Dugnad" provides you with a lawyer.
Specialists at your fingertips. Or rather, just a phone call away. The Municipal Social Welfare Centre would like to remind you that free expert advice is available within the framework of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. To take advantage of this support, all you need to do is call and make an appointment.
The offer is free of charge and addressed to senior citizens. Residents over the age of 60 can count on the assistance of a lawyer, dietician, psychologist and rehabilitation therapist. To register, call 77 483 78 79, extension 408.

03.04.2023 - Workshops to the second power
It was an intense but creative weekend. Thanks to the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, the community centre in Kędzierzyn-Koźle became a workshop. Creative sensory and sculpture classes took place.
Saturday belonged to the youngest. The meeting had an Easter theme. Participants made Easter pots and decorations. On Sunday the older children joined in and worked with clay. The theme of the pottery work was entirely open.
Free workshops organised by the Municipal Cultural Centre will continue in the coming months. There are free dates for May and June. To register, call 77 480 25 57.
31.03.2023 - Where does an animal choose to sleep?
As part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, a special guest visited the Municipal Public Library. Generations of young readers have grown up with Marcin Brykczyński's books. Now, thanks to his rhyming stories, the kindergarten children of our town learned about the world of nature.
During the meeting the children found out where the clever fox lives and what he dreams about when he goes to sleep. They discovered how a wolf family lives and where a bear spends the winter. They peeked into a mole's burrow, saw what a squirrel keeps in its hollow and even took a dip in the lake to observe the life of the fish. Of course, there were also beaver dams, bat caves, a wild boar's den and a mouse hole. These and other animal habitats have been described by the author in the beautiful pages of this illustrated book.
30.03.2023 - "Dugnad" for Health. Free vaccination for girls
A free HPV vaccination programme is about to start. It is directed at girls in our city. Parents only need to look in the school's e-journal to find out how to register their daughters. The prevention campaign, like last year, will take place within the framework of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The free programme for the prevention and treatment of human papilloma virus infection is intended for girls born in 2010 and 2011 who have been registered as permanent or temporary residents in the Kędzierzyn-Koźle municipality for more than 12 months. The vaccine will be administered by the NOVA Clinic. Information will be provided to all parents and guardians through schools. Details can also be found on the poster.
29.03.2023 - Beauty enchanted in coloured glasses
You don't have to be a skilled artist to create a work of art. In this workshop, participants learned the secrets of making stained glass. They were only limited by their imagination, as the rest was taken care of by the Municipal Social Centre as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The colourful mosaics were created during free lessons at the "Magnolia" Day Care Centre No. 2. Under the watchful eye of an instructor, the seniors learned how to design their own patterns, became familiar with glass working techniques and the basic tools needed to work. More workshops are planned.
28.03.2023 - Run out to meet spring
We will welcome spring in a sporty way, thanks to the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. On the 15th of April, the most awaited time of the year for active residents will begin with a cross-country race.
The main competition will stretch over a distance of 6 km and the route will lead along the paths of the island of Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The event will also include competitions for children and young people.
The event is free of charge, there is no entry fee and each participant will receive a commemorative medal. The event is organised by the "Koziołek" Sports Club, which is also behind the success of the "Santa Claus Run" in December.
The rules and regulations for the "3rd Run to Welcome Spring" can be found here: https://www.maratonypolskie.pl/dokument/2023/72203_44359_regulamin.pdf

27.03.2023 - The workshop continues
The first eight sessions were just a warm-up. There are more free handicraft courses to come as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The Municipal Social Welfare Centre has prepared a new schedule of free courses for local residents.
During the workshops, participants will be able to discover new passions and develop their talents. Courses include ceramics, stained glass, handicrafts and paper making. Meetings are held at the day care centres. The dates for the activities in April and May are already known. Due to the limited number of places, registration is mandatory.
A complete schedule and contact details of the organisers are given in the tables below.
23.03.2023 - Knitting and having fun
Our seniors are discovering new passions. Once again they are being helped by the 'Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle' project. Another handicraft workshop for senior citizens is behind us. This time the free workshop took place in the Day Care Centre No. 3.
The participants used yarn to create beautiful Easter decorations. The motto of the event was "Knit and have fun! Under the watchful eye of the instructor, they created colourful bunnies to decorate any home.
Knitting is not the only activity offered by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. More handicraft courses are planned for April and May.
22.03.2023 - Report on the implementation of "Dugnad
The activities of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project are gaining momentum, so coordination meetings are being held more frequently. The latest meeting of partners involved in the implementation of the project took place this year.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Presidents of the City, Artur Maruszczak and Wojciech Jagiełło, who listened to a detailed report on the initiatives currently being implemented. In recent months, not a week has passed in Kędzierzyn-Koźle without an event organised by a project co-funded by the so-called "Norway Grants". Free sensory workshops for children and handicraft activities for senior citizens have recently become very popular. Free legal advice for local associations and foundations has also been introduced. Preparations are also being made for further sports events to activate and integrate the residents of our city.
21.03.2023 - Handmade ceramics from A to Z
"Glazing is the most beautiful part of the work," say the participants in the ceramics workshop at the Municipal Cultural Centre. This is the final stage of creation, when the work of our hands gets the right colours and shapes and can be fired in the kiln.
The group from March, who take part in the free integration and sensory classes organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project, are putting the finishing touches to their ornaments. In a few days they will be able to collect the items they have worked on during the last few meetings.
17.03.2023 - Styrofoam decorations instead of tradition Easter eggs
Combining tradition with modern decorating techniques and integrating seniors with the younger generation. This is how to sum up the handicraft workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. Beautiful Easter decorations were created in Dom Dziennego Pobytu no. 4.
The theme of the activities was inspired by the approaching holidays. Not surprisingly, eggs dominated the tables. However, the usual egg shells, wax and paint were replaced by polystyrene decorations and coloured ribbons. This technique was new to most of the participants, regardless of age. Nevertheless, under the watchful eye of the instructor, real gems were hatched.
16.03.2023 - Equipment that saves lives
More defibrillators in our community. AEDs have been installed in the offices of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre and in the sheltered housing units of the Azoty Estate. The life-saving equipment was purchased as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
But the equipment is not everything. MOPS staff have been trained in the principles of first aid. Firefighters from OSP Kłodnica and OSP ORW Koźle provided professional knowledge and support. During the course, not only were all the basic rules of behaviour in life-threatening situations recalled, but there was also an opportunity to practise the use of defibrillators.
15.03.2023 - Clay wonders created at "Magnolia"
Seniors from the Day Care Centre No. 2 are improving their artistic skills. The ceramic workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project resulted in small works of art made of clay.
Bowls and small sculptures emerged from the fingers of the talented participants of the previous courses. This was the beginning of the process, after which it was time to decorate and paint their creations.
14.03.2023 - A delicious and healthy diet thanks to the Norwegians
What to eat for a nutritious breakfast, what to eat for lunch and what time to sit down for dinner? Our seniors benefit from the nutritionist's valuable advice completely free of charge. They discuss their eating habits during consultations organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
The first group of interested residents has already taken advantage of the free advice. The meetings took place at Dom Dziennego Pobytu nr 1 in Śródmieście. More people can also make appointments. All they have to do is call 77 483 78 79, extension 408, which is available Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free legal advice can also be arranged in the same way.
13.03.2023 - "Dugnad" heralds the arrival of spring
Spring has already arrived in the Municipal Cultural Centre. It came at the invitation of the participants of the sensory workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
During the therapeutic activities the visitors sowed and planted plants. For the little ones it was an important lesson about nature, for the older ones it was a reminder and a lot of fun. The most important thing, however, as always with projects co-financed by "Norwegian" funds, was integration.
09.03.2023 - Seniors gained more than knowledge from these workshops
At Day Care Centre No. 5 today, everyone had a blank page... that they made themselves. During the paper-making workshop, the seniors mastered the difficult and ancient technique of creating their own ready-to-write pages. The innovative lessons were organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
Under the watchful eye of a specialist, the participants learned about paper-making methods, which they were soon able to try out in practice. The final products will serve them in many, probably equally creative, ways. They were invited to this unusual activity and to a joint meeting by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre.
08.03.2023 - Professionals and amateurs in the ultimate artistic integration
Ceramic workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project attract even professional artists. This time the sculptor Michał Misiaszek, well known in our town, was spotted among the participants.
As always, everyone is welcome to take part in the courses – small, big, young, old, those with no experience at all, as well as professionals. The main idea of the project is integration. During the last workshop, the author of the friendly goats sculptures, well known to the locals, joined the group. This time, Michal Misiaszek switched metal for clay and his studio for a room in the Koźle Cultural Centre.
07.03.2023 - Professional support as part of Dugnad
Senior citizens as well as representatives of the third sector and volunteers can already benefit from professional support. The offer of counsellors is wide and tailored to individual needs. Free counselling is provided as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
NGO representatives already benefit from free legal assistance. Soon they will also be able to use accounting services. The city also has senior citizens in mind. In addition to paralegals, health specialists will also be available. Residents over the age of 60 can benefit from the advice of a dietician and will soon be able to make an appointment with a physiotherapist.
Expert advice is organised by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre. In order to make an appointment, you must register in advance. To make an arrangement, simply call 77 483 78 79 ext. 408. The telephone helpline is open Monday to Friday from 7.00 to 15.00.
22.02.2023 - Crocheting brought generations together
Needle and thread danced at Day Care Centre No. 3. Or rather, crochet hook and yarn. Another handicraft workshop organised by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project took place at the centre in the Azoty district.
This time the class took place in the knitting workshop. Under the watchful eye of the instructors, real gems that could decorate any home were created. The challenge was mainly taken up by senior citizens, but there were also some much younger participants, which fits in well with the idea of intergenerational integration.
21.02.2023 - First high school team wins entrepreneurship competition
The workshop dimension of the Social Entrepreneurship Olympiad has come to an end. The grand finale was the third and final skirmish in which the participants put their acquired knowledge and skills to the test. Now the biggest challenge lies ahead. It is time to act and try to put their projects into practice.
Young people from secondary schools in Kędzierzyn-Koźle took part in the competition. Over the past few weeks, they actively participated in numerous classes, trainings and meetings to learn about business and cooperation with local authorities. The young people were given the entrepreneurial bug by the Europa Iuvenis association as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
In the final round, the teams had to prepare and submit a funding application for the launch of a major community project, as well as present promotional materials and a planned social media campaign. The main test, however, was a simulated 'pitch' to a potential partner. When the results of all the competitions were counted, the winners of the Olympiad were the students of the First High School. Young people from the Second High School, the Complex of Technical and Comprehensive Schools and the Complex of Inland Navigation Schools also took part in the game.
20.02.2023 - Clay fun for the whole family
A little patience and concentration combined with a paintbrush and a pinch of talent produced amazing results. More people took part in a sculpture and ceramics workshop organised by the city's Community Centre. A great idea for a family morning.
The integration classes organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project continue to be very popular. For several months now, free courses have been held in the Community Centre in Kędzierzyn-Koźle under the guidance of experienced instructors. The offer also includes sensory therapy classes for children with dysfunctions.
17.02.2023 - These flowers will never wither
Passion, beauty and usefulness went hand in hand in this workshop. Guests of DCC "Wrzos" created their own bouquets under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Although made from artificial materials, they deceptively resemble real flowers.
Both senior citizens, regular visitors to Day Care Centre No. 4, and guests of all ages took part in the activities. They took their small, useful works of art home with them as a souvenir of the time they spent together integrating as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project.
15.02.2023 - Residents develop creative skills with Dugnad
The handcraft workshops organised by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre have started. The first ceramics classes at Magnolia Day Care Centre No. 2 are already behind us. More of these meetings are planned.
This is the first of many creative activities that MSWC will implement as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project. The free and unpaid workshops are intended to be intergenerational, bringing together senior citizens, young people and children, among others, at craft stands. The various day care centres will prepare their own programmes of activities for those who wish to discover and improve their artistic and useful talents.
14.02.2023 - Magical lights return to the community centre
The popularity of the recent light workshops organised as part of the "Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle" project exceeded the organisers' expectations. Therefore, it was decided to hold it again, but this time in a slightly different, more occasional format.
The theme of this year's magical creations was Valentine's Day. The young artists used light and sand to create works of art about love. If you like this idea, you will be pleased to know that there are still places available for the sensory workshops in April. To register, call 77 480 25 57.
13.02.2023 - Young people under the wing of Europa Iuvenis
These were the preparations before the last skirmish of the 'Social Entrepreneurship Olympiad'. This time, the topics on the agenda of the young people's workshops were 'Winning allies and communication' and 'Entrepreneurship and the labour market'.
This marks the end of the third and last cycle of workshops planned within the framework of the 'Dugnad in Kędzierzyn-Koźle' project. The classes, organised by the Europa Iuvenis association, were led by Paweł Dolibóg and Artur Ośko. All seven teams from the four secondary schools participating in the Olympiad took part.
