Miłość nie zna wieku, miłość nie zna granic. Miłość pokonuje wszystkie przeszkody. Kolejne osiem małżeństw z Kędzierzyna-Koźla odebrało w Urzędzie Stanu Cywilnego medale za „Długoletnie pożycie małżeńskie”, przyznawane przez Prezydenta RP. Polskie cywilne odznaczenie państwowe ustanowiono jako nagrodę dla osób, które przeżyły 50 lat w jednym związku małżeńskim. Medale jubilatom wręczyła prezydent miasta Sabina Nowosielska.
- Jesteście Państwo dowodem na wagę słowa i wartość składanej przysięgi małżeńskiej. Ślubowaliście sobie wiele lat temu czynić wszystko, aby żyć w zgodzie, aby małżeństwo było szczęśliwie i trwałe. Dziś udowadniacie wszystkim, że można przeżyć w małżeństwie 50 lat i więcej i że można być razem przez całe życie szczęśliwym. – mówiła włodarz miasta.
Pamiątkowe medale, kwiaty oraz gratulacje odebrali: Teresa i Ginter Apostel, Urszula i Ginter Bartodziej, Elżbieta i Andrzej Jadwiszczak, Zofia i Franciszek Lasiota, Leonarda i Marian Lech, Maria i Ginter Szwamel, Zofia i Piotr Węgrzyn, Teresa i Jan Wieczorek.
