Z Krakowa przywiózł gromadę medali

Kolejny sukces pływaka z Kędzierzyna-Koźla! Tym razem największy w jego karierze! Szymon Gromada został II wicemistrzem Europy na dystansie 100 metrów stylem motylkowym. Sportowiec z zespołem downa znakomicie zaprezentował się podczas prestiżowych zawodów VIRTUS European Summer Games.
W zmaganiach rozgrywanych w Krakowie startowali reprezentanci kilkunastu państw. Zawodnik z Kędzierzyna-Koźla od lat z sukcesami bierze udział w wielu pływackich imprezach, ta jednak były dla niego jak dotąd największa. Poza indywidualnym medalem zdobył on również kilka krążków w sztafecie – jeden srebrny i aż sześć brązowych - poprawiając przy tym kilka rekordów życiowych.
Szymon Gromada jest stypendystą Gminy Kędzierzyn-Koźle oraz laureatem nagrody prezydenta za wysoki wyniki sportowe.
