To był prawdziwy maraton… w badmintona

Ponad 160 meczów jednego dnia rozegrali uczestnicy VIII Turnieju Badmintona „Kłodnica Open”. Do rywalizacji stanęło 99 młodych sportowców z aż 10 klubów z Polski i Czech. Podczas zawodów nie brakowało emocji i zaciętych pojedynków.
Zmagania zorganizowane przez UKS Kłodnica odbyły się w hali „Azoty”. Uroczystego otwarcia imprezy dokonał Wojciech Jagiełło, zastępca prezydenta Kędzierzyna-Koźla. Turniej rozegrano w czterech kategoriach wiekowych: U9 dziewczynki, U9 chłopcy, U11 dziewczynki i U11 chłopcy.
Do Kędzierzyna-Koźla przyjechali zawodnicy z Domecka, Głubczyc, Strzelec Opolskich, Donaborowa, Kątów Wrocławskich oraz Klimkovic z Czech. Na parkiecie doskonale zaprezentowali się gospodarze z Karoliną Smarzewską na czele, która sięgnęła po brązowy medal.
