Główny Lekarz Weterynarii przypomina, że przewożenie produktów mięsnych lub mlecznych spoza granic Unii Europejskiej jest zabronione. Grozi to wprowadzeniem chorób zwierząt na teren państw wspólnoty.
W związku z wystąpieniem przypadków zachorowań na afrykański pomór świń w województwie lubuskim podobny apel wydało również Starostwo Powiatowe w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu.
