Pierwszy medal w zapasach

W dniach 8-10 września w Zgierzu odbyły się LXXXVI Indywidualne Mistrzostwa Polski Seniorów w Zapasach w Stylu Klasycznym. Piotr Duk z Uczniowskiego Klubu Sportowego „Olimpijczyk” zdobył na nich brązowy medal w kategorii 80 kg. To pierwszy krążek w historii klubu i miasta w tej dyscyplinie sportu w tej kategorii wiekowej.
Świetnie wypadli także pozostali dwaj zawodnicy UKS-u: Mateusz Zybała, który zajął 11. miejsce w kategorii 130 kg oraz Radosław Metel, który był dziesiąty w kategorii 80 kg. Jako drużyna UKS uplasował się na dziesiątym miejscu na ponad 20 startujących klubów z całej Polski.
