Mimo, że kariery zawodowe rozwijali w różnych zakładach, swoje siły połączyli dla rozwoju całej branży. Stowarzyszenie Inżynierów i Techników Przemysłu Chemicznego tworzy jedną wielką „rodzinę”. Przykładem jest noworoczne spotkanie członków kędzierzyńsko-kozielskich struktur.
Miejscowy oddział jest jedynym na całej Opolszczyźnie, więc uczestników nie brakowało. Obecnie liczy ono około 80 osób. Wśród nich jest także m.in. prezydent Sabina Nowosielska, która wszystkim zebranym w Nowym Roku życzyła dalszego rozwoju organizacji oraz napływu „świeżej krwi”.
