Maciej Będkowski ukończył Liceum Plastyczne w Opolu, a w latach 1995-99 studiował na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu. W 2008 r. otrzymał Stypendium Akademii Królewskiej w Dublinie za obraz olejny. Maluje, wykonuje ilustracje, rzeźbi, projektuje. Poza zleceniami stara się robić to, co lubi.
