Alicja Sielska mistrzynią Europy

Alicja Sielska zapisała się na kartach historii polskiej lekkoatletyki. Młoda zawodniczka, pochodząca z Kędzierzyna-Koźla, zdobyła złoty medal Mistrzostw Europy U23 w biegu na 100 metrów przez płotki. To pierwsze tak prestiżowe osiągnięcie w jej karierze i ogromny powód do dumy dla całego miasta.
Wywalczone w norweskim Bergen złoto Alicji Sielskiej jest trzecim w historii triumfem polskiej płotkarki w mistrzostwach Europy U23. Poprzednio po najcenniejszy krążek w tej kategorii wiekowej sięgały w 2021 roku w Tallinnie Pia Skrzyszowska oraz w 1999 w Göteborgu Agnieszka Karaczun.
Alicja Sielska pierwsze kroki w lekkoatletycznej karierze stawiała trenując w Publicznej Szkole Podstawowej nr 12 oraz w MMKS Kędzierzyn-Koźle pod okiem trenera Andrzeja Saczko.
