Zrobił to Klub Sportowa Polska. To organizacja zrzeszająca przedstawicieli samorządów i biznesu, które współpracują w obszarze budowy i zarządzania obiektami sportowymi, a także promująca rozwój aktywności fizycznej.
Nasze miasto otrzymało tytuł „Sportowej Gminy 2018”, a prezydent Sabina Nowosielska została uhonorowana tytułem „Lidera Sportowej Polski 2018”. Oba wyróżnienia zostały przyznane za rozwój infrastruktury sportowej oraz organizowanie imprez i wspieranie klubów.
