Historia, która wraca na kozielską rampę

Niektóre miejsca do dziś niosą ciężar historii. Rampa dawnego kozielskiego dworca kolejowego należy właśnie do nich. Ponad 80 lat temu rozgrywał się tam dramat tysięcy Żydów wywożonych z Europy Zachodniej, głównie z Holandii i Belgii, do obozów pracy i zagłady. Młodych mężczyzn kierowano do przymusowej pracy, a kobiety, dzieci i osoby starsze trafiały dalej, między innymi do Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Hołd ofiarom tamtych wydarzeń oddali Komisarz Królewski Prowincji Limburgia Emile Roemer oraz przedstawiciel ambasady Holandii Eelco Veldman. W uroczystości uczestniczyli również zastępca prezydenta Tomasz Radłowski, sekretarz miasta Zbigniew Romanowicz oraz uczniowie I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. Henryka Sienkiewicza w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu.
