Młodzi zapaśnicy z Kędzierzyna-Koźla z sukcesami wkraczają do seniorskiej rywalizacji. Zawodnicy UKS „Olimpijczyk” znakomicie wypadli podczas ostatnich mistrzostw Polski udowadniając, że już na progu swojej zawodowej kariery plasują się w krajowej czołówce.
Turniej rozegrany w Raciborzu szczególnie dobrze zapamięta Kevin Metel. Sportowiec rywalizujący w kategorii do 77 kg wywalczył na macie brązowy krążek. O medal otarł się nasz drugi reprezentant - Grzegorz Hildebrand startujący w wadze do 63 kg.
Obaj 20-letni „klasycy” na co dzień trenują pod okiem Bogusława Metela. Zawodnicy są stypendystami gminy oraz laureatami nagrody prezydenta w dziedzinie sportu.
