Jakub Korejba ponownie udowodnił, że należy do grona najbardziej utalentowanych lekkoatletów swojego pokolenia w kraju. Jako najmłodszy uczestnik halowych mistrzostw Polski w pchnięciu kulą szturmem wdarł się do rywalizacji zdobywając srebrny medal w kategorii U23.
Miejsce na podium zapewnił mu rezultat 17,81 m. Okazuje się, że nie jest to kres jego możliwości. Kilka tygodni temu podczas zawodów Orlen Cup w Łodzi uzyskał rekord życiowy, który wynosi 18,68 m.
Udane występy w tym sezonie pozwoliły zawodnikowi LUKS Chemik Kędzierzyn-Koźle umocnić się na drugiej lokacie w ogólnopolskim rankingu. Podopieczny trenera Adama jest stypendystą sportowym prezydenta miasta.
