Informacje o stanie zdrowia ułatwiają służbom medycznym niesienie pomocy. Każdy z nas może je przygotować i włożyć do tzw. koperty życia.
Imię i nazwisko, numer PESEL, informacje o chorobach i uczuleniach, przyjmowanych lekach, numery kontaktowe do bliskich – takie dane powinny znaleźć się w kopercie życia. Najlepiej umieścić ją w lodówce. Taki sprzęt znajduje się w większości domów, a ratownicy mogą go łatwo zlokalizować. Informacje należy co jakiś czas aktualizować oraz zabezpieczyć przed szkodliwym działaniem mroźnego środowiska.
W Wydziale Polityki Mieszkaniowej, Spraw Socjalnych i Zdrowia Urzędu Miasta Kędzierzyn-Koźle, ul. Piramowicza 32 (pok. 129-130) można odebrać także specjalną naklejkę na lodówkę, informującą o znajdującej się wewnątrz kopercie życia.
