Medale z lodowatej Finlandii

Kiedy woda ma niemal 0 stopni, liczy się przede wszystkim hart ducha. Sławomir Wilkowski w fińskim Oulu udowodnił, że mu go nie brakuje. Pochodzący z Kędzierzyna-Koźla zawodnik z bardzo dobrym rezultatem wystartował w Mistrzostwach Świata w Pływaniu Zimowym.
Ta ekstremalna dyscyplina zyskuje coraz więcej pasjonatów. Na listach startowych znalazło się blisko 2000 uczestników z 50 krajów. Mimo tak ogromnej konkurencji nasz reprezentant czterokrotnie stawał na podium, zdobywając srebrne medale na dystansie 25 m i 50 m kraulem oraz dwa brązowe na dystansie 100 m i w sztafecie 4x25 m kraulem.
Co ciekawe, zmagania odbywały się w basenie wyciętym w lodzie na rzece Oulujoki.
