Mistrzowie królewskiej gry

Głowy zawodników aż parowały, a figury stukały po szachownicy. Rozegrane w hali „Śródmieście” mistrzostwa miasta amatorów w szachach wyłoniły najlepszych strategów w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu.
Na zaproszenie Miejskiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji do walki o ten tytuł stanęło 21 pretendentów. Zawody rozegrano w dwóch kategoriach. Do 18 lat najlepsi okazali się: Piotr Kondys (1. miejsce), Mateusz Doniec (2. miejsce) i Jakub Bandura (3. miejsce). W rywalizacji open prym wiedli: Andrzej Klucznik (1. miejsce), Rajmund Dybała (2. miejsce) i Zdzisław Gruca (3. miejsce).
