Nasi ratownicy w krajowej czołówce

Na krytej pływalni w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu jeszcze nigdy nie było tak bezpiecznie. W miniony weekend spotkali się tam najlepsi WOPR-owcy z kraju. W Grand Prix Polski w Sportowym Ratownictwie Wodnym rywalizowało ponad 160 zawodników z 12 klubów.
Reprezentacja MUKS WOPR Kędzierzyn-Koźle zajęła drugie miejsce w klasyfikacji medalowej. Gospodarze musieli uznać wyższość jedynie utytułowanej ekipy CKS Szczecin. Na koncie naszych zawodników znalazło się 18 krążków, w tym 7 złotych, 6 srebrnych i 5 brązowych. Indywidualnie najwięcej medali dla załogi z naszego miasta zdobyli Karol Rekowski (4), Paulina Budzińska (3) i Joanna Czok (3).
Ceremonii otwarcia imprezy dokonała prezydent miasta Sabina Nowosielska razem z dyrektorem Miejskiego Ośrodka Sportu i Rekreacji Tomaszem Radłowskim. Organizacja Grand Prix Polski w Sportowym Ratownictwie Wodnym była dofinansowana przez gminę Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
