Nowy rok akademicki rozpoczynają od świętowania

1 października przypada Międzynarodowy Dzień Osób Starszych. Święto seniorów zbiegło się z inauguracją nowego roku akademickiego Uniwersytetu Trzeciego Wieku z Kędzierzyna.
Z tej okazji najlepsze życzenia dla wszystkich studentów 60 + złożyła prezydent Sabina Nowosielska. Do gratulacji dołączyła się również dyrektor Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej Agata Morkis.
Stowarzyszenie rozpoczęło kolejny rok wykładów, kursów i warsztatów. W zajęciach organizowanych przez UTW uczestniczy 270 osób. Biorą oni udział w lekcjach angielskiego, informatyki, gimnastyki. Prężnie rozwijają się też sekcja malarska, koło śpiewacze i seminarium historyczne.
