Utalentowany zapaśnik z „UKS” Olimpijczyk Kędzierzyn-Koźle ponownie błysnął na macie, zostając medalistą XXVI Ogólnopolskiej Olimpiady Młodzieży w Sportach Halowych.
Podczas zmagań w Janowie Lubelskim podopieczny Bogusława Metela rywalizował w stylu klasycznym w kategorii wagowej do 71 kilogramów. Młodemu sportowcowi zabrakło jedynie dwóch punktów, aby wejść do finału i zawalczyć o złoto.
Ogólnopolska Olimpiada Młodzieży to doroczne zawody sportowe, w których startują dzieci i młodzież w wieku szkolnym z całego kraju. Odbywa się od 1995 roku.
