Pamięć wymaga troski. Kolejny etap prac w Sławięcicach

Są miejsca, o które trzeba dbać szczególnie. Nie dlatego, że są zabytkiem, ale dlatego, że niosą w sobie ciężar historii. Do takich należy teren byłego niemieckiego podobozu KL Auschwitz III Blechhammer w Sławięcicach, gdzie miasto zrealizuje kolejny etap prac remontowo-konserwatorskich.
W ramach programu „Miejsca pamięci i trwałe upamiętnienia w kraju - Infrastruktura 2026” zaplanowano inwestycje wewnątrz bunkra typu Salzgitter I. To kontynuacja ubiegłorocznego etapu, który obejmował zabezpieczenie zewnętrznej powłoki schronu. Ponadto opracowana zostanie dokumentacja projektowo-kosztorysowa dla odrestaurowania następnych dwóch wieżyczek strażniczych.
Dofinansowanie ze środków Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego wynosi 285 tysięcy złotych, a całkowita wartość zadania 356 250 złotych. Celem tych działań jest ochrona kolejnych elementów dawnej infrastruktury obozowej przed niszczeniem i zapomnieniem.
