Znakomity występ pochodzącej z Kędzierzyna-Koźla lekkoatletki na mistrzostwach świata. Debiutująca na tej rangi imprezie Paulina Ligarska wystartowała w niezwykle wymagającym siedmioboju.
Wychowanka MMKS-u doskonale zaprezentowała się na stadionie w amerykańskim Eugene. Paulina Ligarska zdobyła 6093 punktów i ukończyła zmagania na 10. pozycji. Zawodniczce udało się poprawić rekord życiowy w biegu na 200 metrów. W skład jej dyscypliny wchodzi jeszcze bieg na 100 metrów przez płotki, skok wzwyż, pchnięcie kulą, skok w dal, rzut oszczepem i bieg na 800 metrów.
Paulina Ligarska obecnie reprezentuje barwy SKLA Sopot.
