Szybka trasa, mocne tempo i zacięta walka do ostatnich metrów. W Kędzierzynie-Koźlu rozegrano VIII Kryterium Tribike im. Wernera Lepicha.
Kolarze ścigali się po asfaltowej pętli na ulicach miasta. Na starcie stanęli zawodnicy w wielu kategoriach wiekowych, ale wszystkich połączyła nitka rywalizacji. Zawody pod honorowym patronatem prezydenta miasta zorganizowała fundacja Odrzańskie Konsorcjum.
W związku z ogłoszoną żałobą narodową zmagania rozpoczęły się minutą ciszy poświęconą pamięci papieża Franciszka.
