Maluchy z Kędzierzyna-Koźla doskonale wiedzą, do którego kubła wyrzucić plastikowe butelki, szkło lub papier. Już od przedszkola troskę o środowisko zaszczepia w nich Związek Międzygminny „Czysty Region”.
Przed halą Śródmieście odbył się coroczny ekopiknik połączony z finałem konkursu Segreguj.pl. W tym roku placówki oświatowe, które stanęły do ekorywalizacji, zebrały łącznie niemal 111 ton odpadów. Ponadto na uczestników wydarzenia czekały warsztaty ekologiczne, quizy i zabawy o tematyce prośrodowiskowej. W trakcie imprezy zbierano również elektrośmieci. Zużyty sprzęt można było zamienić na sadzonki roślin.
