Upały za oknem mogą oznaczać tylko jedno: lato wreszcie zawitało do Kędzierzyna-Koźla. Żeby zostało z nami na dłużej, trzeba było je należycie przywitać. Najlepiej mocnym rockowym akcentem ze sceny plenerowej w Parku Pojednania.
Gwiazdą wieczoru podczas koncertu na “Powitanie Lata” był znany i lubiany Tomasz Karolak z zespołem „Pączki w Tłuszczu”. Wcześniej przed publicznością wystąpił znakomity muzyk młodego pokolenia Bartas Szymoniak. Imprezę otworzyły występy dzieci i młodzieży ze „Studia Piosenki” działającego przy Miejskim Ośrodku Kultury.
