Kilkudziesięciu uczniów wzięło udział w II memoriale Sławomira Kowalika. Przez kilka godzin w hali sportowej „Śródmieście” słychać było charakterystyczny stukot celuloidowej piłeczki.
Młodzi i utalentowani tenisiści stołowi zmierzyli się o miano najlepszych w sześciu kategoriach.
Sławomir Kowalik był trenerem i wychowawcą. Przez ponad 4 dekady szkolił kolejne pokolenia dzieci i młodzieży. Zmarł w 2015 roku w wieku 79 lat. Galeria zdjęciowa z wydarzenia dostępna jest na miejskim facebooku.
