W Koźlu działa SMOK

W 2015 roku w zajęciach szkolnych młodzieżowych ośrodków koszykówki (SMOK) dla chłopców i dziewcząt uczestniczyły dzieci z 71 szkół podstawowych. Jeden z takich ośrodków funkcjonuje w Publicznej Szkole Podstawowej nr 12 w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu. W zajęciach uczestniczy ponad 50 dziewczynek z klas 4,5 i 6.
Program ma na celu zachęcenie młodych ludzi do uprawiania koszykówki , ale również pokazanie im, że ruch to zdrowie. SMOK to program realizowany wspólnie z Ministerstwem Sportu i Polskim Związkiem Koszykówki.
