W regatach o mistrzostwo Nysy w Głębinowie wzięli udział młodzi żeglarze z MUKS WOPR Kędzierzyn Koźle. Debiutanci, szkoleni przez instruktorów Mariusza Ogórczaka i Adama Gieta, startowali w klasie Optymist.
Pierwszy puchar w historii sekcji przywiozła ośmioletnia Julia Balawender, najmłodsza uczestniczka zawodów. Drużynę z Kędzierzyna-Koźla reprezentowali również: Kinga Osowska (najwyższe, 11. miejsce), Dominik Hering, Wiktoria Giet, Emilia Gembka i Aleksandra Smyczek. Na szkolenie dzieci i młodzieży w żeglarstwie MUKS WOPR otrzymuje dotację od miasta.
