Do Pucharu Polski doszedł srebrny medal Mistrzostw Polski. Sezon 2022/2023 Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle na ligowych parkietach zakończyła z dwoma tytułami. Za każdym razem w wielkim finale spotykała się z Jastrzębski Węglem.
Ostatnia rywalizacja została rozstrzygnięta na korzyść drużyny ze Śląska, która ostateczną rundę Play-Off przeważyła na swoją korzyść w trzech meczach.
To jednak nie koniec rywalizacji pomiędzy tymi dwom utytułowanymi klubami. „Trójkolorowi” i Jastrzębski Węgiel stoczą kolejny boiskowy bój już 20 maja walcząc o miano triumfatora Ligi Mistrzów. Pojedynek, który wyłoni najlepszą ekipę w Europie rozegrany zostanie w Turynie.
