Stale pamiętamy o bohaterach i ofiarach tamtych okrutnych wydarzeń. W Kędzierzynie-Koźlu 85. rocznicę wybuchu II Wojny Światowej uczczono złożeniem kwiatów pod pomnikiem w parku Pojednania.
W uroczystości wzięli udział przedstawiciele Sejmu RP, samorządów, służb mundurowych, organizacji patriotycznych oraz mieszkańcy.
