Festung Cosel znów okazała się bardzo twardym orzechem do zgryzienia dla Wielkiej Armii Napoleona.
Kontratakujący Prusacy omal nie napisali historii na nowo, spychając profrancuskich Bawarczyków prosto... w publiczność. Ostatecznie przewaga liczebna oblegających zrobiła swoje, ale jak zwykle obleganych przed kapitulacją uratował pokój w Tylży. Do udanej rekonstrukcji sporo kolorytu dodały występy orkiestr z Holandii, Ukrainy i Polski, które zjawiły się na polu bitwy dzięki Międzynarodowym Spotkaniom Orkiestr Dętych, które w ten weekend równolegle odbywały się w mieście.
