Pomaganie to ich druga natura

Podczas gali „Opolszczyzna aktywna społecznie” uhonorowano społeczników z regionu. Wśród wyróżnionych znaleźli się również działacze z Kędzierzyna-Koźla. Laureaci dwóch konkursów: „Opolska Niezapominajka” oraz „Społecznik Roku Województwa Opolskiego” odebrali nagrody za 2019 rok, których wręczenie opóźniła panująca pandemia.
Wyróżnienie w konkursie na społecznika roku otrzymał prezes KS "Koziołek" Robert Wencel, a sam klub został dodatkowo doceniony statuetką niezapominajki. Kapituła szczególnie dostrzegła organizację zajęć sportowych i rekreacyjnych dla dzieci, młodzieży i dorosłych pochodzących ze środowisk zagrożonych patologią społeczną.
