Muzeum Ziemi Kozielskiej zostało uhonorowane Nagrodą Marszałka Województwa Opolskiego za Wydarzenie Muzealne Roku 2021. To kolejne wyróżnienie do ciągle rosnącej kolekcji placówki.
Laur został przyznany w kategorii „Publikacje” za wydawany nakładem muzeum periodyk „Z Zamkowego Wzgórza: Zeszyty Muzealne Ziemi Kozielskiej w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu”. Teksty, które się w nim pojawiają dotyczą przeszłości regionu, a ich autorami w dużej części są miejscowi eksperci w dziedzinie historii. Popularnonaukowe czasopismo jest wydawane od 2018 r. Zeszyty są bezpłatne, nakład jednego numeru wynosi 2 000 egzemplarzy.
